which card?

well my bro got a new computer that has an intergrated ati radeon x1250 and was wondering if an ati radeon 9550 was better than what he has. please give some feedback

also since i reformatted his computer from vista to xp i need to install a sound card. i am using the one thats intergrated but when i tried installing the Realtek AC97 driver it didn't work. just wondering if there would be a different driver for this computer

For the soundcard what type of motherboard does he have?


and for the gpu i would go with the 9950.

well im gonna check the acer website because that's the brand of computer becuase its a 6.1 sound card . and i don't know how to find out what motherboard he has. if it helps the computer is an Acer Aspire M5100

They should have the latest sound driver on their site. Check under his computer and for the driver. If they dont have it ill try and check for you a bit later tonight when i get home.

i found it. since it was surround sound it used realtek high definition driver.
