It's an exploit though, I'm sure. Built a level 3, switch to the claw, pick up the sentry and redeploy it.

Although I hope Valve just builds this into the game mechanic, maybe with a sentry de-buff when moved this way, but the minisentry is cute.

They fixed it, but can't they just make it so changing your weapon only destroys the sentry?

It can still be done

Using the wrench select the blueprints to make a sentry but instead of having it built switch to gunslinger. Then with the gunslinger deploy your regular level 1 sentry and upgrade it. Then move it somewhere and watch your adorable red level 3 mini sentry kill.

Terribly sorry, but I did say it was an exploit, and it's not like it's hard to find out how to do it. As Exploits are verboten on eGO servers, I take it on faith that nobody here would attempt to use it except in a Listen server or with their tags of... or else they're really, really dumb.

<tangent>I remember when I learned that word (verboten)... I was in a public pool in Germany and there was a sign up with the pool rules. I jumped in the water and got yelled at, "SPRINGEN VERBOTEN!" and suddenly the word was no longer ambiguous to me.</tangent>

The mini sentry is really under powered. But, with all the engineers lately, there have been like 10 right beside each other.
