Well I Bsed mom into buying GMOD so I could get Hl2dm. I play gmod for about 10 second gave up (I was like 10) and started play hl2dm. I forget the server but I remember the map. three floors all white. and for some un known reason there was a little hole that shot out like every gun.

Then my mom came in and was like YOU SAID it was a BUILDING game. And I said yea I also said you had to buy this game. So look who got screwed

I had Red Alert and a few other games that could be played online, but I didn't actually start playing online till Starcraft. I can't remember the first map that I played, probably a 7 v. 1 games or something. Nor do I have a first memory of the game, but the best memory was getting in a 5 way call with some friends and jumping on the Panzer Kavalier Normandy...good times, good times.

My first was... I think it was Command and Conquer and I really liked it I played it 24/7. But when CS and Half-Life got released I played them more than any other games

First ever for me was Team Fortress Classic, never did get into the HLDM stuff but played TFC constantly until Counter Strike and Day of Defeat came along. Use to play those all night, go to school, come home, rinse repeat. Ahh, fond memories.

I think someone is recreating Panzer Kavalier Normandy for Starcraft 2. The new map editor in Starcraft 2 is crazy powerful, so I can't wait to see what they can pull off.

First online multiplayer game I ever played was Starsiege.

It was part of the Earthsiege series, and it was the predecessor to Starsiege: Tribes and Tribes 2 (two games which got a lot more acclaim than Starsiege itself).

Man, I looooved playing Starsiege. I was part of an online gaming group very much like eGO called "The Iron Brigade" and we had such epic clan vs. clan matches every week.

Starsiege also had the most in-depth story for a single-player campaign I had ever seen (and still have yet to see). The game came with TWO compendiums, one of which directly pertained to the events that take place during Starsiege (and also served as the game's manual) and the other which completely outlined the backstory starting with the first Earthsiege in ridiculous detail using mocked-up historical records and documentations of artifacts. It was freakin' amazing.

....On second thought..it was actually the Firearms and Wanted mods for Half-life back in '98.

I think someone is recreating Panzer Kavalier Normandy for Starcraft 2. The new map editor in Starcraft 2 is crazy powerful, so I can't wait to see what they can pull off.

I really hope so that Normandy map was one of the best out...I only beat it once. Most of Panzer Kavalier's maps were amazing; Marine Special Forces, Raccoon City, and Starship Troopers.

My first multiplayer game was probably Halo 1 when that was the Big Thing, I was like 6-7 when my dad let me try it out for an hour or so. And back then after I played it I like begged my dad to let me play it like every day, lol good times.
