no Power :(

Ok so,
this isn't about computers exactly, but with out power I cant run my computer. I came home today around 1am and the power was out in my room.

First thing I did was check other rooms, they all had power.

Second thing I did, ran down to the breaker to see what was flipped... they all said that they were on. None of them were flipped. The rooms right next to mine have lights and such...

If this is in the wrong section, I apoligize, but I figured its a technical problem. Move it if you'd like.

So, any ideas guys???

With a breaker setup you reset the breaker by flipping it to off and then back to on. What you want to do is two things.
1) use an alarm clock or radio or somehting and check each outlet to make sure its everything, not just the light or whatnot.

2) go to the breakbox and look for the breaker which is for your room - even though it will be flipped in the correct direction, flip it off and then back on (this will ensure that it is reset).

If that doesnt work, then all I can assume is that either the breaker went bad (you can actually replace the little section arround your breaker with a new breaker) or i guess if you were pulling alot of power you could have burned out one of the wires going to your room. I hope not because that would be expensive to fix and requires and electrician. Hopefully its just a breaker that needs to be reset, or replaced. If not you just may be lucky the house didnt burn down if it happens to be a wire.

Do you pull alot of power from your room? was it an addition?
