Playing on Mac - Mic not always working

so the title basically says it all, Im playing on an iMac and my internal mic doesnt always work, usually does for the begining of a game but then it doesn't until i restart my game...any ideas?

if ur using the mac mic. DONT unless you have headphones u get in game sound echoing through the mic. = BAD otherwise idk

yeah headphones or a separate mic is probably your best bet. Build in mics dont work that well

Get a headset compatible with a Mac, or get a PC

I use a USB mic on my Mac -
It's not a good idea to use the internal mic for reasons stated already.

As for why it's going out - I have no clue, but I get the same issue on my macbook pro if it's any comfort to you!

i just figured out today, that i hate playing CSS on a mac ._.

yeah...its not getting any better lol!

i used to use it on pc. i'd switch via boot camp to play and it'd work fine then..but now..nope..well, i'll keep trying..let you know if it works

It was making basically a fart sound when tested earlier

Common issue, my MAC is getting it aswell.

Just sit tight, VALVE will fix it.
