I'm fed up with verizon and they told me to cancel my plan it will cost $200. That is ridiculous anyone else agree?? I told them I am just going with att because of their crappy service but $200 just to cancel is ridiculous. and i have like another year before my contract is up :/

The reason you have to pay that is because your on a contract. The $200 is how much you would owe until the contract expires

Just stick with it until it expires, then switch. I had similar issues

Well i have the blackberry storm and this phon is a P.O.S....plus verizon even stole my memory card for it. i bought a 16gb memory card and then i had to exchange my phone. thinking they would switch the memory card over, i left and found out the next day they didnt. went back and they said its my fault and they can get me a new one for %30 off. which would have still been $50. Oh and this is my 6th blackberry storm i've had so far. Sorry for rant im just irritated lol

I can see why your irritated. :/

My phone randomly charges me at random times for nothing. Stupid pre-paid >.<

ummm get a different phone other than a blackberry storm? maybe its a crappy blackberry? and yeah, they get you with the fine print, early cancellation clause

thats just bad customer service. they should never say its the customers fault. they need to apologize for the incovenience (however u spell it) & give you another card, not charge you for another one, but thats how the cell phone companies get ya. its the big bad world of business. heck sometimes i wish i started up a cell phone service. that early termination fee is just greed right there. its just like sayin "u wanna cancel ur service early? ok pay us this much & we will cause we want some more of ur $$ b4 u leave us cause were jerks like that." now there are ways to get out of an early termination fee, such as no service in the area, moving out of the country, etc. i used to work for sprint, so i still remember some of the rules. sprint also has a $200 etf. thats always gotten on my nerves.

for me, its sad that im still w/ sprint & we live in an area w/ great reception (d/fw area), unfortunately due to the building construction (alot of metal surrounding the walls & ceiling), we get poor signal. its once we get outside of our apt, we get all the bars.

It's your fault for not reading it carefully, and the fact that you didn't take out your memory card before it got switched is, well, also your fault.

Most plans charge ~$200 for early plan cancellation. Unless you're going to save more than $200 in the time remaining if you switch to a new plan, I'd suggest sticking with it like what iSimon said.

Also - Blackberry Storm is bad. RIM coming out with a new touchscreen .. soon. In the meantime, get a Bold 9700. It works wonders :) There's a reason why Obama and many, many business people use it. Those people don't mess around.

Eh, not much an iphone fan. Sprint is really good though and maybe you should try the evo? Good, phone, also I think its still the only 4G phone out on the market. Look at your options before going to AT&T don't just jump tot that one.
