Ventrilo Help

Greetings,

I am new to EGO and I am having some issues connecting to the Ventrilo server. First off, I am on a 24" IMAC with Mac os X. I have downloaded Ventrilo and can connect to the server, but get an error message that says I need to use GSM 6.10 codec. Only problem is that the MAC Ventrilo client does not support the GSM codec. Mac only supports the SPEEX codec.

Does anyone know of a work around for this? Any info you might be able to share is greatly appreciated.

You may only join rooms that are SPEEX enabled.

There have been some rooms that are created for mac users called Speex. You should be able to join these channels and talk to other users.
