also the US marines already have a better amphibious fighting vehicle called the expeditionary fighting vehicle or EFV

indeed it is, the front armor part you see actually unfolds to form a kind of ramp that is used when it is performing an amphibious landing, the ramp thingy (cant remember name) causes the EFV to almost literally skip across the water because it raises it out of the water to go faster

also the EFV was designed with anti-ship/sea vehicles missile dodging in mind
