Just to answer the questions for him....He will be at Lackland AFB throughout training. He will be at BMT for 8 1/2 weeks and he will be in Technical School for approximately 3 months. He will be given the chance after to be in RAP(Recruiter Assistance Program) for 10 days and to take leave for 12 days after RAP. If he is wanting to go K-9, which seems so, he will have to certify on his regular job and get his 5 level and be an Airman First Class before being considered. The only reason I know this because I am also Air Force Security Forces, getting ready for K-9 school.

*edit* P.S. He will probably deploy within 6 months of completing his training. It is quite the norm for our career field. So you may not see him for 6 months-1 year depending on his deployment.
 
Basic aint too bad if you have a good attitude about it, just lots of hard work and early mornings. Try not to let the drill sgts (or whatever the AF equivelent) get to you, they're mean but it's nothing personal

And, on second thought: Watch out for those guys from Guerilla Warfare. I heard they were pretty tough. Keep your Desert Eagle handy. ;)

He's already been gone for almost 4 weeks, so he's halfway done. You guys are a little late.
