Uh...you get heal 3 HP PER SECOND with the Regular Syringe Gun. This means you get nicked by a rocket for 30 damage, you're back to full health in under 10 second without having done a thing. If you aren't hit in ten seconds, this ramps up to a whopping 6 health per second. Basically, you're hit by a flare, chopped by a bleed weapon, you'll survive without a sweat and not having done a thing.

Only if you're out of combat is that healing really anything to get excited about. If you are constantly in combat and enjoying that extra 3 HPS, it likely will never amount to much because really, with mini-crits and crockets and sentries and everything out there trying to kill you, 3HPS will stop very very very very little. You could split hairs about "Well if a soldier hits me and I run and am out of combat for 5 seconds I get 15 more HP blah blah" but if you're analyzing such specific, rare scenarios to make your point, then you've essentially made mine: It's simply not useful in a broad enough environment or set of situations to warrant using it.

And yeah, I stopped playing TF2 for like a year, so I was living in the past a bit with my OP. Disregard any argument made based on the "old"/original TF2 that I played for so long before being forced to quit due to senior year of college. :P

Blutsager olny for battle medic

your not as usefull to your patient since you take way to long to regenerate if your only healing people with a Blutsager

to be fair, s3rvo, I would have agreed with you a year ago. Now, with the changes, it's absolutely not the case in my opinion.

What i don't understand is this. Why argue? They are both good guns and it really depends on the kind of medic you are. Im the type of medic that when the person im healing goes down and there is no one else around, and im not very close to a charge..ill just pull out the sauger and kill as many enemies as i can. And honestly i can USUALLY get a few kills AND survive to make it back to my team. The medic is a fantastic survivalist when he needs to be.

This. The original medic update was a straight upgrade. They have since changed that. I want to spend as much time with my medi-gun out as possible, and the blutsauger undermines that effort.

This one I cant vote for because I have 2 theories. When your fighting people such as pyros and your on fire, you need that health, fast. So if your good with the gun then you can kill the pyro and get enough health, maybe even somethies fill up. Then there are other times when you can retreat, hide and heal up with the LV1.

i use the Blitsauger.... you can easily killed a pyro while hes torching you faster than he can torch you and not die
