Low Event Attendance

i am almost always sleeping when the events are going on. i have to rest up for my overnight shifts, which are every week night.

so in my case it is just bad timing.

I think for a lot of us (including me) work or life take precedence. Id love to make it to any event but my odd hours only make my beloved Realism Night a reality. Things are getting even more hectic now with 12 hours days, heck all i do is work and sleep now-- before i keep complaining about my dead-end job working with a bunch of good-for-nothing jerkfaces id love to choke to dea--

Lets try this again. We should all try to make it to these events, everytime i have been able to make it to a pistol or melee night ive had a blast. Nothing really beats playing with a bunch of clanmates and not having to worry about babysitting some pubs with a new found vocabulary of vulgarities (thats Butcherfoots job). Hopefully the numbers can rise again, and if they dont i put all of the blame of Skippy.

Tuesday and Thurs night hard to make it to events but im trying to make most of them. And some weekends im going to out of town...
 
I got a little .....irritated... at the last MM event, which is why I didn't return. 4 or 5 guys camping the spawn, and as soon as I spawned in, I was dead in seconds. The fun factor rapidly dissipated until I logged off after 10 minutes of that.

Chasing someone into a spawn to kill them on some of the MM maps? That's ok. Half your team camping the spawn spots for near instant kills? Not fun.

I tried to take one for the team, and help keep the event rolling, but after taking a few dozen deaths in a row without recourse, I gave up. Just not my cup of tea, I suppose.
 
Yea i just cant find the time to play on my computer anymore. I would like to come to the events but life has hit me and i have found different things more important than my computer. I try and make it to the events but im sure its hard for everyone else 2.
 
I dont enjoy the Melee Madness or the Pistol nights, because certain people with there SUPER HEADSHOT INSTANT BLOWING MY BRAINS OUT shots make me a sad doctor. I do however enjoy the Wild Card nights, but Thursday nights simply make me forget, like just now, I just realized it was Thursday. FRIDAYS HOWEVER Im more aware of my days because I know that the next night is realism.

I have alot going on in my life right now - that said, I'll attend as many events as I possibly can.

MM and quickdraw are fun.. but perhaps its time to change things up a bit as was suggested. There is a DOD:S map modeled around an Army Boot Camp fireing range. Maybe we could run some round-robins on the course and see who the best shots are. It is a rather large map, contains moveing silhoettes, grenade distance and accuracy range.. rocket - every weapon is covvered.

just a thought.

The amount of feedback here is great. I'm sort of getting the feeling that most people are either too busy, or they do not find the event appealing enough to attend. Perhaps it is time for a change as many people previously mentioned. Whether that be a change in the times of the events, the events themselves, or the removal of an event entirely, I have no idea.
 
I would like the wild card nights to be moved to Friday, Thursdays are just a huge inconvenience, and during the school year for me, Im busy getting stuff done for Friday turn ins. But if it was Friday, people would like to unwind heading into the weekend killing their friends. In video games, not in real life.

I don't know man, I feel like moving to Fridays would kill Wild card. People are already (assumingly) making concessions in order to attend Realism. I know that's what I do, make my Friday night for going out with the womens and then Saturday is to game. I can't see everyone giving up their Friday and Saturday night for eGO events.

What about Sunday nights? If the event starts at 9 PM East, ends at 10, 10:30 EST, nice for everyone?

And of course, for European players, whenever we have the Euro-realism weekends, we can make Wildcard earlier too. CALL THEM EUROPEAN WEEKEND WARS!
 
It would have to be either Friday Nights or Sunday Nights for me. I have to travel during the week for my job, often leaving on Monday Morning and not returning until Thursday night, so Friday and weekends is really the only time I have to play. Every once in a while I will take my computer with me, but usually don't as it is a big hassle to pack it up every time.
