I would love to hear Tommy lovers perspective of the gun.. Id still choose BAR over it as support class comes with extra nade too. No offense meant but it was my fave weapon when i was new to dod at v1.3.

Infairness it's a cute looking gun, i have a miniature collectible toy of it.

Well Thompson has the 30 stick clip Magazine. It is good with Close quarter combat but you have so luck when you get people with a far distance or RHS. Now if you want to hit a player very far away you shoot in bursts. The gun has 2 firing modes. Primary fire and the fist which is fun to use on the Falcon. The fist is there when your out of ammo and cant reload. It is also to kill people close to you and conserve ammo. You have one grenade that can pick off enemy's at a far distance. The smoke grenade is to use cover when you rush or in some cases in which i have done kill a enemy with but it only does 3 to 5 damage. Then the 1911 side arm. You have 7 shots which get more head shots then the Thompson(Imo).

Now i have the Novint Falcon were i had to relearn the gun since i now have recoil with the Gun and Fist. This thing was no Noob Tube on the Falcon because if it was i would not have had a Negative K/d which i could careless about. I also have to factor in the recoil of fall damage and when nades are around and explode you get recoil that takes your aim off.

If you have the Falcon there is no Noob tube because your the noob. Once mastered you will never be stopped!

The SMG is not meant to be accurate but close quarter with the fire power, but if crouched you can get a good long distant shot.
 
The thompson is, and always will be, a "noob tube" as people like to call it. It has several advantages over every other class.
1) You can run and shoot at the same time, and still be lethally accurate
2) It gets random headshots all the time
3) Its melee attack comes with the gun, so you never have to switch to knife/spade. It's a shame they removed the buttsmack and bayonet attacks of the rifles.
4) Its recoil is easily controllable

Oh how I miss the classes of the original dod. Much more fair and balanced imo.

pistol mod makes buttslap redundant anyway, I'd rather have a pistol and a rifle with sights vs a rifle that can buttslap and no pistol. The K98 in 1.3 was so ridiculously OP and it was in DoDs too until they patched last summer with a higher rate of fire on the garand.

Oh Ron. You make me miss the old K98k... Shooting people across the map in the foot and killing them was pure gold.

A majority of the players on our servers arent going to have a Falcon, and just because it makes the game harder for a single player, doesnt mean that the gun is a hard gun to use.

True but that was self redemption because it is not a noob tube in my eyes. Call it what you want but it is a durable piece of hardware.
 
i could think of worse with a PPSH. That would be a noob tube if there were Russians! DoD:S needs a upgrade
 
It isnt OP. Just able to hit the screwed up hit boxes nicely... I dont really think there is a specific noob toob
 
i like the thompson...its a good gun...for the first 6 months i was in eGO it was my weapon of choice...the only reason i dont use it as often any more is because of the fact using the springfield or BAR is more of a challenge...its as simple as that for me...of course...i do love punchin people in the back of the head...so i still use it from time to time...
