I don't know if it is an event exactly, but I have always wanted some of our servers to rotate what I call "alternate maps". I haven't played that many, but ones that are almost the same layout of the regular maps and just a different look and atmosphere.

Maps like Flashatnight where it's night obviously, and a few more rooms open up, or kalter_b5, where the snow is removed, and a few more new areas open up. It mixes things up and is sort of cool from time to time.
