Getting a headset - Help?

Nokx here. My birthday is in a week, and I've really been wanting a headset. I've never had one before, only the basic iPod earplugs. Anyways, I'd like one with mic, as the one in my laptop isn't that good. It will mostly be used to gaming and music. Yesterday I tried a friends' headset, the Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MKII. I liked it very much, and the mic seemed good. I was even able to take off the mic. Any thoughts on this?
It shouldn't be over $100, and not USB.

it's all personal preference, if you like the ones that you have tried and it is in your price range, then go ahead and get them XD
