What do you strive for?

So I was playing Battlefield tonight with my best buddies in Ventrilo and I proceeded to say, "I'm doing great. 19/30 with 2200 points." They then responded, "You're not positive, what a terrible round."

With this short anecdote? What do you strive for in the game? Points? Kills? Medals? I am person who does not care about my kill death ratio, which is the complete opposite of the way I was in Call of Duty.

I could care less about the KD ratio so long as im on the objectives, and running out to rez someone just to die to incoming fire after they jump up and run away...the points add up in the end.

^ I hate medics that do that 32, kill whatever killed me before you rez please :P

I strive to help my team take objectives. This could be lots of mortars for Mcom buildings, or C4ing vehicles to get the open Mcoms. Sometimes I snipe for K/D, but I cover one side of a map from incoming enemies when I do snipe. AT mines on desert maps also protect our objectives.

Right now I'm all for more points without much regard to my K/D, so I try to mix things up to maximize the point rewards (spot assists, kill assists, savior kills, etc)

Platinum stars + Ace Pins + Gold Squad Pins + Dogtags = Always have fun in game

I work to improve myself, in whatever way I can. Things setting goals for k:d, a:d, objectives completed, support points, score, position on the leaderboard, matching or surpassing a rival, accuracy, surviving encounters, average lifetime (I'm aiming for more than twelve seconds :P), seeing how long I can maintain a position without compromising my cover, or any of of the hundreds of other facets of the game.

Well, as of now, I've been working for the Gold Stars for many of my guns, so I can get the medal for all guns Bronze/Silver/Gold Star. Other than that, I think I play to support my team like the Assault/Medic.

I sometimes find myself thinking I'm having a good game only to find my K/D is crap :/ A good game for me is usually keeping my teams tickets up with revives and heals and working on objectives. I do sometimes go dog tag hunting tho which ends up being bad for my K/D. Points is the name of the game for me right now, trying for 50!
I also enjoy switching to the underdog team! Nothing like switching to the losing team and then ending up with the big W at the end of the round :)

I burned myself out worrying about kill/death ratios and platinum stars. Now I just try to have fun.

I RPG/C4 objectives and try to maximize my kill-to-point ratio, aka, 1-3 with 7500 points.

I just try to get points and rank up. I occasionally go for medals an tags, but my KDR doesn't matter to me that much.
