Why can't I get online?!

ARGH I'm frustrated right now. I came home from holiday a bit over a week ago, and I haven't been able to log on to bc2 since. I played the day before my break :/

When I try to log on, I can get to the part where I put in email and password, and then I choose my soldier, however there it stalls. I can't "update my stats" or whatever. What can I do? I'm not wanting to reinstall... its always: :chair:
 
However, now I can't even get to the place where I give my email and password.. "Failed to connect to EA Online", even though I am fully patched and I have an internet connection..
 
I had this same problem, one of many I had with BC2 :/ What I had to do was reinstall the game and choos the option to always have my cd/dvd in the drive when I play. I tried several other possible fixes but this is the one that worked for me. Not sure how or why this fixed the problem but it did! Hope it helps...perhaps a little more info on your system?
 
What else do you want to know? It has been working perfectly until a week ago, so I shouldn't need to reinstall or anything.. I haven't had any problems with bc2 before.
 
I would uninstall, reinstall. see if that works. Of course, save your profile and such seperately.
 
Should be otherwise there would be a lvl 50 hacks everywhere like rainbow six vegas 2 did so im pretty sure you dont have to to worry bout that.
 
Yes! i finally got online :D Just reinstalled, and chose to authenticate using disk, so I have to run with cd, but all the same.
