Read Part I

I wasn't sure where to begin, to be honest. However, overhearing some TV show on that God-awful HGTV in the other room, reminded me that the most important thing is always location, location, location. I decided to start there.

(The map)

Knowing that whatever was going on must have involved the leadership, I did some investigating to find out where they are all located (the red, yellow, and green marks). Since they were all pretty spread, and not centrally located in any particular place, I figure whatever we were looking for had to be somewhere in the middle. Running the numbers, I found the geographical center of their location to be near the small, obscure, town of Carrollton, Illinois.

An initial check of the eGO Family Map showed no members to be in that area, so if there was anything to be found here, I had to travel there myself to check it out.

Arriving in Carrollton, I followed my (geographical center) measurements down to the tenth of a mile and found myself walking around the back of a Dollar General store, to a small patch of woods. I searched around for a great deal of time, but could find nothing. Not even a clue of something. I walked into the Dollar General store, in disgust and disappointment, to get something to drink by the register, and half-heartedly asked the cashier, "Ever heard of e.G.O.?" "Nope." he responded. I thought it was a little strange/intriguing that he didn't question it (I, myself, might say, "No, what is that?"), but I suppose it's possible he just plain didn't care.

Making my way back to the airport, I realized one critical mistake I made--I didn't factor the eGO HQ or server locations into my map or geographical calculations. As key installations to the DoD:S Division, they had to factor into the equation some way! Adding those to the map and running the numbers again, I found the new coordinates for the center point. Pulling out my map, it looks like I was some 200 miles off. I turned the car around and set my new course for Western Missouri.

As I got closer to my new destination, I knew I was on to something. I was approaching Humansville, Missouri. If that wasn't a half-hearted, lame attempt at a town name, I didn't know what was. This small town had to be a front for something. The exact location I was looking for was roughly a half-mile out of town...another forest. With a renewed sense of vigor, I searched until the sun went down for something, anything.

No luck.

I came back into town and, from what I can only guess escaped my attention due to excitement upon first arriving, saw it for the first time--another Dollar General store.

I realized that it was likely just a coincidence, with Dollar General being a major nationwide chain of stores (though there are none around here in WA), but there was also something in me that couldn't help but wonder if it was more than coincidence that these two locations brought me to/near my first-ever meetings with the chain. Near exasperation, it was at least worth checking out. I went inside and, just like in Carrollton, grabbed a water out of the cooler and approached the register with the..."simplest"-looking cashier.
"That'll be $1.07 sir." He told me.
I pulled some change out of my pocket, found the correct amount, and laid all but one dime, that I carefully hid in-between two of my fingers, on the counter. "There ya go." I told him.
He counted the coins and said, "Um, this is only 97 cents..."
As I put my hand over the coins on the counter, to pull them back towards me, I deftly let the last dime fall onto the counter with the rest of them. I glanced at the coins and said, "Dude, it's all there..."
He counted the money again, saw that it added up to $1.07, and said, bewildered, "Oh...I guess so. Sorry." He gave me my water and receipt and I walked away.

Just as I was about to leave the store, I stopped and nudged who I assumed to be the Manager--standing by the exit this whole time, carefully watching me. "Man, that guy is a real f***ing moron ya got there."
"Sir, please watch your language and attitude. And please treat all people with respect." He said to me. That was all I needed to hear. Knowing I wasn't too far from slayr357's domain, I decided to head back home. This cookie-cutter response was enough information to let me know that Dollar General was someway involved, but in what?

...to be continued...

YSD. Watch your back. I wouldnt be surprised if the higher ups send one of their heavy hitters after you with a BAR or a K98.

This may be one of the few posts that are huge that I'll read all the way through. Very interesting, can't wait for part 3.

YSD i hope youre a writer or something of that nature IRL. hopefully your talents arent being neglected

Well, he's gonna have to get past that guy standing behind me with the gun first.

Nah I don't write and this was just for fun/goofing around. I don't really think it's that good. And no, this isn't one of those "I am gonna berate myself to fish for people to compliment me" type of situations, I just really don't think it's that good. I knew it would be amusing, but that doesn't mean it's any sort of literary work of art, lol.

A very interesting part II indeed. I can't wait to see Part III, hope you uncover something soon!
