Sucking all the fun out of TF2

Watched the entire thing, and the only thing i found interesting was that awesome piano solo at 5:16....BONK

Thereven you just made me drool on my keyboard and now my forward arrow key doesn't work. Stupid boring videos.

I thought it was quite interesting. Franky, I think she's right; TF2's art style is what sets it apart from the rest of the pack. That and Australians. Between Robin and Saxton Hale, I don't think I could take any more man in my video games without feeling weird.

Also, I'm not going to bother padding this post with Lorem Ipsum, but I will say that I had originally written 48 pages worth of response to this question, and my internet crashed and wiped most of it clean. So, I was too lazy to type it back out. ;)

That just reminded me that I gotta take Art Appreciation class next semester D:

well i didnt watch it but i prolly would find it midly interesting since thats what im majoring in im an art major specifically for game art and design and when you do stuff like that you really can admire all the small details that go into a game that player take for granted and the game wouldnt be as good had they not put them in yet they are so small you wouldnt think they would matter

I found it interesting, I've always loved TF2's Art Style, and its one of the reasons I like it so much more than CoD or Halo or anything like that.

While I understand that the art style in TF2 is definitely unique and interesting, a lot of what was said just grinds my gears. When you write in such a flowery language like that, it's what we students like to call "BSing it". You know there's no way that there's actually enough material to fill out a full ten pages, so you start making crap up with lots of long words and multiple descriptors to take up space.

I honestly don't think the artist's decisions were based on "creating a dichotomy between the war-era impressionism and the fantasy idea of war" or whatever she said. I think it was just a "Dude! These cartoons look badass when they blow each other up!" and then realizing that the environment can't look like an ultra-realist painted it when you have cartoons rocket-jumping across the map.

Shortest post by dreadmaker ever. It didn't even need a TL;DR.

If you have a 5 minute attention spam this is pretty cool to see the parallels between tf2 and impressionism art period. I enjoyed it.

That video was more riveting than watching the new trailer for the M. Night Shamalamadingdong's The Devil.

I call bullcrap! The painting "Jedediah Smith in the Badlands" was shown against a backdrop of Badwater Basin, NOT CP_BADLANDS! BAD FORM ART CRITIC, BAD FORM!

but back to the topic
The art style of this game is fantastic, the time and effort put into this game is amazing and people want to look in on this game and say "wow, the surroundings of this game are done quite well"

oh...my...god(long pause)

The video was boring

But the "that's what she said" comments are awesome and have entertained me more than tf2 itself

Bravo guys *That is not what she said...Just incase you were wondering*
