Dont worry about it too much. Get in vent, IRC, in the servers, go to events, post a load on the forums. Basically anything that could spread your name around eGO. Its a big community so it will take time, but once it does conversations and friends come easy. While Im not as well known as maybe Artinz or TP i still do have a number of people that know me and that I talk to. Just get out in the community and have fun and everything else comes easy.

i kinda felt that way when i first joined but people talked to me more once hey got to know me in game lol I'm a talker in game XD

Also going to the event would help to since the only people there are members and they are generally pretty fun =P

Remember too that sometime people walk away from their desks and forget to change their status or are perhaps in the middle of a major fire-fight and don't get to respond right away, then it slips their mind.

It's best not to assume the worst in these sorts of situations. Just keep trying, extend people some grace and keep adding more people to your list!

Yeah i do that a lot and it takes for ever for it to actually say im away, plus there are times it doesn't notify you which has happened to me alot or i see the notification and im in a intense fight like trykael has mention and then when it calms down i forgot i even had one and it gets ignored
