So. Lately I really haven't been playing any games at all associated with Edge Gamers, and as much as I miss playing with you guys I just got so sick of Day of Defeat, and I got sick of Bad Company REALLY FAST... I guess that had something to do with playing BF2 for so many years.. Well whatever.
I've been playing Half-Life 1, even Blue shift, and mods associated with it.. I have two STEAM accounts, my new one with all of my newer games didn't even have Half-Life on it... so I purchased it a week or two ago and that's all I've been playing.
The fact of the matter is you go onto mod websites, like MODDB, and you look at the Half-Life 2 mods.. SO MANY DEAD, OR ABANDONED MODS.. Go to Half-Life 1 mods, and the number of completed and released mods towers over that of the HL2 mods.
^SVEN COOP Being the first mod of choice. I first played this game like.. 7 or 8 years ago. and I was shocked to see that they are still updating it frequently, that being the original developers. As of recently 4.0 was released, and they are apparently nearly finished with 4.5 or something.. Anyway I guess it never gets old because of the MASSIVE amount of maps, and mini mods that can coincide with it.
The developers have been saying for years and years that when they are done with sven coop for HL1, that they will be in fact making sven coop for Half-Life 2.
^Brianbread A typical coop killing massive zombies and the occasional giant farmer fred zombie (Yes, a farmer.)... If you get attacked a bit too much by the zombies, you become one.. except you get the ability to run really freaking fast. I find it to be so much more fun then newer zombie mods, no idea why really. I have hated every single Zombie 3rd party mod for HL2 except L4D2. unlike sven there isn't that many servers up.. but when there are a few, it's quite fun.
and lastly the 3rd Hl1 mod I've been playing is ^Earths Special Forces^. Not much to say besides the pure epicness of this mod. It's a dragon ball Z mod, where you can basically fly around, use awesome powers against your opponent, play as a vast array of DBZ characters, & I do believe it is still receiving updates. I don't even like DBZ or anime in general, but damn this mod blows away any HL2 mod I've ever played...
soo whats good everyone. anyone still play some old HL1 mods? forget about all this new stuff. let's get old school. =D

M isn't a mod. It's an official release that was packaged with HL2 after a few weeks after it's release.
