I agree completely. We have a new printing policy at school where you have to pay for printing and I spent $3 printing a stupid sylabus and course calendar, about 6 pages total, wasted $3 trying to print all over campus and finally got it to work when it should have only been 18 cents.

I have a Samsung laser black/white printer and it's okay.

They also didn't mention the fact that if you tamper with the cartridges (i.e. to refill ink using after-market products - which is not illegal), many of the newer model printers will refuse to print.

I still have a printer that will not print B&W if it is out of color ink. It has a full Black cartridge but I'll be damned if I get a million error messages that tell me I am out of color ink and force me to print a ton of those ink test papers.

at my school we used a website called schoolloop

it allows you to turn in papers over the interwebs

but most teachers were lazy and told you to just print them out




my frustration level was clearly over 9000
