my mic dose not work.

When i plug the mic into the computer jack port it shows me that the mic is there I even hooked up a mic to the front and one to the back and they both show up in the audio input devices.

Few things I've done so far

1)I check the volume on mic and made sure it was selected and is default communication device

2) Uninstalled my audio drivers in device manager then rebooted because windows will auto download or reinstall it (this didn't work even though windows reinstalled everything I got audio but no mic input)

3)I reinstalled the drivers and rebooted
(This did nothing except add stereo mix "which wasn't already there for whatever reason")

Silly things to suggest....but as a tech, I must;

-Check your MIC to see if there is a mute function/button.
-Check your recording settings and make sure your mic isn't muted/turned down too low.

Also...
How are you testing your mic? If your are testing in-game, then keybinds can come into play.

Let us know if this helps, and we hope it does!

Go to Setup and make sure your Input device is set correctly.

Is it a specific mic? Like just a regular mic, or headset?

No mute button
First thing I did was check the levels and check for a mute button
I testing it by just blowing it it because its not a push to talk mic also i test it in the volume control
