lol.

Why are eVGA people so attracted to prizes? OCN prize events never have such a large turnout.

I dunno. I always fold to my maximum capacity, which unfortunately isn't much.

You have to remember that just about everybody who has an EVGA card or motherboard is registered on the forums -- it is required to register your product for warranty. This is how I got started on folding(again, I had folded before but lost interest somehow). And thus, our team is able to reach an exceptionally large number of members. WHo wouldn't want to fold for a week when we advertise in the general forum that you'll have a chance to win a GTX 480, as well as other graphic cards, CPUs, motherboards, and more.

I am registered with eVGA (needed precision), but I have never been to the forums. I guess I'm an exception?

Is it just me, or does it seem that eVGA almost buys their points? They have so many prizes and stuff, it seems that they are like the Yankees, buying the top spot.

Well, the TZC which inspired the 4 million PPD leap of which you spoke was 100% community donated prizes.

So yeah, EVGA sponsors the team, 5-10 bucks a month. But most of us spend much more than that on electricity, so it isn't really a gain. It allows us to upgrade our folding hardware more often. ;) Over all, it benefits the science, so I don't really see why people complain. That's what we're all here for right?

yea, It just seems like they pay so much for the points.

Couldn't they just donate the $ to science?

all i know is that one day, the entire eVGA team is going to implode, and OCN will take #1

EVGA really doesn't lose money. It is different giving people 5-10 dollar discounts, which they will end up using to buy some of your products. It balances out. If they were to donate the amount of money they give away in store credit they would lose a lot more money.

And good luck with that last bit, because if that happens you guys still have to overtake the [H]orde who is also almost doubling your daily output. They are a force to be reckoned with. ;)

evga will set off a chain reaction, and all 5 of the best teams will implode.

Nah, Stanford would rewrite the WU's to be 10x more efficient, and release GPU3 (the real one), and we would cure all cancer in 3 weeks.

fold fold fold fold fold

in other news my 470's should be here tomorrow

I want some benchmarks. Do like EVERYTHING GPU orientated lol. And don't forget to make a good looking graph.

Then make another thread. Then run a lot of GPU orientated benchmarks.

I cant get this to work, let alone 2 clients on the same machine. I'm almost sure the flags are correct for each shortcut, just cant get it to run as a seperate client. Whos gonna gimme a hand.

Do have my Gigabyte 460 folding @ 910/1820 , 59c and almost 80f ambient. Gonna see how much further this thing will go. It fails kombustor at about 890 but can game some mhz higher, still pushing it.

Oh yeah got the GPU3 client for my 460. I put my old 260 into my bro's rig and is running SLI. I need to get both cards working properly. And i still have this 8800 sittin next to me which i could probably get going easily as it uses a totally different client but i dont want it to interfere with my 460 clocks in anyway. Tops out folding at 910, 915 fails. Not bad at all ...

So the 8800 and the 460 work fine?

For the 260's have you tried running 2 unicore clients? (I didn't read the guide past the title)
