With the approval of eGO Leadership, I am proud to officially announce...

OVERVIEW
​

It is the goal of eGO Leadership and I to form a team of roughly 10-15 players from the eGO DoD:S Division to participate in online competitive league play. Blue Stealth has graciously agreed to represent Leadership as the team's liaison between Leadership and myself. The team will meet several times a week for practices that will involve strategy planning, skill training, scrimmages and of course matches. League selection will be finalized after a complete roster is formed.

TRYOUTS

Wednesday, September 8 9PM EST is the tentative date scheduled for tryouts. The tryouts will be held on the eGO DoDS Event Server. The focus will be on testing your DoDS skill-set with a variety of training exercises that includes:

-Shot Grouping
-Speed and mobility
-Precision aiming

... and several other facets of the game. If there are more than 30 people trying out then we will either a) cycle people in and out of the server to make sure everyone is considered or b) offer tryouts for two nights to give a little flexibility to people who can't make Wednesday. We'll make that decision based on the feedback and applications here. See below for signup instructions.

REQUIREMENTS

This is a list of several must-have's we're looking if you'd like to join the team. It is subject to change at the discretion of Leadership and/or myself:

-Must have a microphone and a willingness to use it. Competitive play is about communication.
-Must be available for a majority of matches. In certain leagues we will have alternates, but in others we'll need the entire roster to compete in a match. After tryouts, I will approach each considered player to determine their schedule.
-Although competition and Realism experience is desired, it is not required. Please note whatever experience you may have in your application.
-NO prima donnas. This team, while competitive in nature, is formed to have fun and extend the values of eGO further into the DoDS community. Glory-hogs, bad attitudes, a sense of entitlement, selfish behavior and disrespect to team leaders or non-team eGO members will not be tolerated. You will be asked to agree with a Code of Conduct before accepted into the team that will be based largely on the existing rules of eGO. As usual, any violations of this Code could result in dismissal from the team.
-As asked by Leadership, we can only accept eG level members and up.​

Signups for the Tryouts next week are open and should be posted in reply to this thread. Please use the following format when submitting your signup application (Example answers in red):

*Note, the Rifle is the most heavily used class in competition play, followed by Heavy, followed by Light automatics, sniper, MG.

Also, as pointed out above Realism experience may be very valuable to the Competitive team so be sure to come out to our Realism events Saturday nights and sign up for the second Realism Campaign.
