Besides being an award that EdgeGamers rewards to it's members, what does this concept truly mean? And how does this spirit apply to every member of the community?
It's exact definition is unclear because so many people embrace this spirit in different ways. Just like the spirit of a living human, the spirit of =(eGO)= is unique to each member and that is what makes it so special. But that does not mean that common veins spread through each and every members spirit and it is those common veins that I aim to reminder everyone of. Because I personally feel that a bit of our divisions spirit has diminished.
When one embraces this spirit they feel pride towards their division. It compels them to tell others about our success and to share with others the fruits of our labor. Do you do this? The spirit creates passion to the division, to the other members, to the game, and the servers. It makes one feel actual emotion to the clan and the division even if it just may be over the internet. Do you feel this? This spirit also builds steadfast dedication. It gives strength to members to put in long hours filling an empty server, to stick with the ups and downs, and to always do what is right. Do you have this dedication?
This entire spirit metaphor may sound silly to some, but the message is the same either way. We are a division, a community, we are one. This means that we do things in the interest of our fellow members, not in the interest of ourselves. So when your asked to help out by a member or asked to do something that might cause a slight inconvenience embrace the spirit and do what is right. Not because it might look good, or because you expect something in return, but because its the right thing to do and the true spirit of =(eGO)=.
