recommend me a good GFX card.

Basically i just need an overall good gfx card that will be suitable for BFBC2 and Black ops when it comes out.

Not really clued up on PC hardware.

Been looking at ATI radeon 5450 1GB PCI-E card.

Any good?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Yes ofcourse. My bad.

Around 150 USD. Money isnt available by the bucketload at the moment.

Like i said not looking for a card that will make me a cuppa just run BC2 and hopefully Black Ops.

Im not fussed which site im just searching the GFX card names you give me and can find them from there.

Bit of an idiot when it comes to stuff like this.

I think you mean can run Black Ops and hopefully BC2. The COD series is always fairly easy to max out.

I second the GTS 250, but not for that price.

My brothers girlfriend just picked it up so she can max out Starcraft II, and well, it worked.
 
Just found a 5770 HD 1GB on ebay at a fairly resonable price BNIB so will put a bid in for that i think.
 
Whats the thoughts of the GTS 250 512mb? would that be enough? or would you suggest a 1GB?

The 512 would be just fine. It really depends on your resolution and how much filters you're going to use.


If you have the money, the 5770 would be ideal.

And Tiger Direct isn't bad either. I just prefer Newegg's layout.
But that card isn't too great for the money when 5770 is better for almost the same price.

It depends mostly on the resolution. But like stated before, the 5770 is the best card for $150.
 
As it stands atm i am going to buying a PC off ebay that has a 1gb gts250 in it.

I will be getting it at a bargain price. So the idea is to rip it apart and trade it all in except the case.

Trade my current ram in and get a 5770 1gb card and 2x2gb sticks of ram. Also getting a copy of Win7 Ultimate 64 FOC.

The card will be secondhand but comes with a full 12 month warranty. So not to bad. Same with the ram.
