Whats a good brand of mic.

My mic fails epicly, it died after 6 months, i need a real mic, one that wont die every 6 months. Any suggestions on good mics. Note i cant really afford anything over 40 bucks, im not looking for sound quality, just a mic that will work and not die.

I love Plantronics, but I am not sure you will find one for 40 unless you check ebay.

uhh yea... i got a logitech for cheap and it works very well. you can pick one up at your local bestbuy/walmart/target/kmart/7eleven/albertsons/saveon/CVS/walgreens/chevron

Sennheisers are very good, although my PC150 headset died after only 6 months. I've used Logitechs before, and even the dollar store headsets. Although the sound quality isn't great, they do the job. Currently, I'm using a TekNMotion Yapster White, which cost me something like under $20 on Newegg; a fantastic headset for the price.

Yeah I want a mic not a headset, I don't think the extra weight on my head would be nice, plus I got a $20 headphones that are pretty good, so, which is better Turtle beach or planetronics?

I've had my Plantronics USB headset for 3 years, well worth the money.

Just bought a new headset of Plantronics make for about $32. My last Logitech was decent but the speakers in it died after a while. Definitely look through Newegg if you get the chance, failing that Bestbuy.

Go for the logitech clearchat usb. They're usually under 40 and mine lasted two years. Can't beat logitech when it comes to durability.
