Guy's after reading your post's I feel very humble and proud to be part of EGO, I am not a vindictive person that's why I do not name name's, I am hoping the eg reads these and decide's to apologise as I do when I make a mistake and I am sure you all would.

But. please don't get offended when I say this, but I personally think you got a bit too offended by the dude. Who cares what he thinks just ignore the guy. He is obviously in the wrong, and you know the whole rest of eGO knows whats really good with you..

Oh, and this is devoted to people saying just because they're young they're dumb.. I'd say that's immature, and insulting. Not saying that because I'm 20, I'm saying it because you shouldn't put down someone because of their age, or how long they've been in eGO. I'd actually say that's a bit "dumb". Be realistic.

The interesting one about all this is it shows how much the world has changes... no longer is gaming the sole interest of the stereotypical young pre-pubescent kid.. These days there are many more of us who are older that are drawn to this, especially when there is a group of good people to play with - thanks eGO! What suits me about it is the time thing.. often i finish work around 0100 to 0300 and being in a town of 100,000 people there is very little to do. Playing these games gives and alternative that is not destructive or harmful to anyone and also adds a social aspect - i am getting to talk to people from places that i will most likely never visit, as well as a few people who are a little closer to home. I have since met a few people here who i would be more than happy to sit down and have a drink or two with if our paths ever crossed, and if not - the games and forums are still here. And to add from a previous post by sumac... i think there is occasionally going to be a bit of disbelief due to ignorance - some of these poor kids sitting there feeling comfortable in their youthful supremacy *cough* are always going to find it hard to realise they are getting beaten by someone who could be their father or grandfather!! To everyone who plays these games and enjoys them in a social manner as they should be - keep on enjoying!

Hey London,

I was born in November of 1954. I have a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering. That means the in addition to all the math in grade school and high school I have had training in linear algebra, calculus, differential equations, limit theory... Well the point is with all of that math I still can't work out a way to subtract my birthday from today's date and come up with a number that is less than or equal to fifty years.

I guess the kids now days are taught arithmetic that is more polite than what you and I got. That's progress for you.

Hey guys, ease up the r-tard and idiot comments. The eG in question was simply ignorant in his statement. It sounds like one of two things occurred, either he/she was way out of line and thought London was just trying to mess with them, or London took it a bit harder than the eG would have intended and had said it in a joking tone. If the eG simply thought London was just messing with them, and called him a liar in an offhanded manor, it's nothing to call him an r-tard for. He was in the wrong, he was mistaken. He also hasn't had the benefit of playing with London and realizing what a genuine and nice guy he is.

London if anything I would take it more as a compliment. This eG was likely impressed with your play, and couldn't admit to himself that someone born in the 1940s could be cool enough to play DoD and do well. Heck, when I think about it, I know my father couldn't play 1/2 as well as some of you guys, and he's just a baby of 65.

The part about calling you a liar was obviously wrong. Likely the eG was simply in denial that someone of your age could do as well as youngsters on a video game, which is really considered a young man/kids field of expertise (obviously false). Also, the way people throw around liar anymore it's become about as meaningful as someone saying they love cheeseburgers. He was wrong, no doubt, but we know the truth London, and we are all happy you are with us at eGO. No one that has gotten to know you would question honesty or how genuine of a person you are.
