well, really bad storms rolled through yesterday and my tower got hit. the only thing i can figure out is my network card is shot. everything else works because i hooked up a old tower and it is reading it.
i thought it was modem but like i said hooked up a old one and it works fine. so i thought maybe if i flash my hard drive and reinstall everything. it just might of been a freak thing and reconized it again. i wasnt there when it happened but thats what my wife told me.

So it will be a miracle if i am able to play this weekend.

I felt those thunderstorms roll through Texas too (in Houston). Are you using your LAN on your motherboard or is it PCI? If it's PCI then check to see if its just a dead PCI slot. That happened to me a couple months ago. Good luck, I'm still getting rained on.

yeah i have a 50$ surge for my electricty but not for my cable internet.

well i am back online but i had to flash my hard drive and get a PCI network card. it isnt running like it use to.
