Wait, how is a radar detector == speed hacks? Speed hacks make you go way faster than you normally would, that's not what a radar detector does. :<

Radar detectors don't keep you from getting speeding tickets.
If you are going faster than everyone else then the cop will turn his radar on while pointing at you and he will clock you at the same time your radar detector starts beeping. Bam, speeding ticket.
if you are going faster than everyone else you are automatically wanted (kinda like the jail server.. lol) even if the cop doesn't use his radar you are probably getting pulled over and more than likely getting a speeding ticket.
The only way radar detectors actually stop you from getting tickets is if someone else near you is getting clocked
* plus, simply having a radar detectors is like telling the cops you like to speed and not get caught (not to mention they are illegal and quite a few states)

Why turn it on right as you see someone speeding when by the time it turns on he may be gone? Im pretty sure cops that are staking out some where behind a sign have it fired up and ready to go.
And who cares if they think that you like to speed if you dont get caught. It doesnt only pick up the cops radar gun. It picks up a few other things too.

That isn't speed hacking by any real or unreal standard.. It's simply allowing you to have an early warning of a cop vascar gunnin' you. luckily for me, radar detectors are legal in new york. =]
becauseee when your doing about a buck on the park-way in a rush, it pays to have one. an UPDATED one. any radar detector over 3 years old is pretty much useless. you can probably count on the fact that the cops update their equipment as well.
(Unless they are NY State Troopers. They probably update their equipment every 5 years or more.. my Cobra radar detector can pick up a speed trap from them half a mile away.)
Integrated radar detectors work very well in states where they are illegal. built into the dashboard is the way to go..

Wow so serious...... Its a joke, the title is just a flashy attention getter... no humor huh....
But if you regularly go 10 + over the speed limit, these help you know about those speed traps in enough time to slow down.
Of course if you thought of it the way you guys are, there is still a such thing as a real life speed hack NOS. Makes you go much faster than originally, but you better have a good enough car or BOOM.

You want true speed hacks? Order one of those devices that change your speed to the legal limit. Thats speed hax.

Instead of speed hacks, I would say it's an admin radar.
Most of the time they're worthless and pickup on almost all store securities. Or a police officer (mainly sheriff's) will have an undetectable radar, that MIGHT be bypassed by a $500+ unit.
I'm surprised so many people have never seen these.
