Halo: Reach - Day of release thoughts

So why even bother having a 10/10 if it never happens, why not just make it 9/9? Think on that.
Something to strive for :), It does happen sometimes but the last time I've seen one is super mario galaxy 2 (wat) and I don't think I've ever agreed with a 10/10 score, since they are judging the game overall, and there is always small things that don't make it a 10/10, either way reviews are subjective.

I'll agree that the campaign has been better in other Halo games, but this one felt a little bit more intimate how most of the Spartans take off their helmets and interact. Also the cut scenes are show much more motion than previous games. If I were to put the games in order of story line, I'd go Halo: combat evolved as the best, then Halo 3, then Reach, then Halo 2, but I cant say for ODST because I never played it.

But MP is much better than previous games and feels more organized than Halo 3's, losing the ranked and social games and making one single ranking system instead of Halo 3's

People who said this game was bad/ a disappointment are not true die hard fans. Iv bought every SINGLE bungie halo game and i have to say this game is great. Everyone says "Ohhhh halo 1 was the best" But half the people i talk to were 6-7 years old when it came out. I wouldn't think you would remember most of that game. Halo reach has probably the best campaign other then Halo 1. All the little things should be noted. A lot of the people just went to online right away and are like BOO this game sucks. Those people are the CoD fans who just play multiplayer.

*SPOILER Kinda...*

This story line brings you into the drama while on the planet reach and as your team dies and you have to start fighting on your own is pretty awesome. At one point in the campaign your trying to help civilians off the planet and as much as you shoot, as good as you are you cant save all of them. And it shows how bad the USMC was getting hit. It also shows how important reach was to the story.

Only bad thing about the campaign was Kat dying with no reason. Personally i didn't like her but Kat fans were disappointed. All the other Spartans died with reason. Jorge with blowing himself up with the super carrier, Emile trying to protect the Pillar of Autumn and is killed with a sword but still has enough in him to knife the elite back. Also the Nobel leader sacrifices his life and runs his Pelican into a scarab JUST to save you and Emile. Its just an overall awesome story line. I like how it also feels like Halo: ODST as your running with your squad and how the game feels in campaign. People need to understand they followed MC throughout the whole 3 games. People like me felt like why don't we get a back story on the other Spartans.

Multiplayer is just multiplayer. Nothing to it except slayer and objectives. People trash talking and people trying to win. Shiny new armors and armor ability's.

I would rate it 10/10.

Any opinions i will take.

1) I am around that range, and I think Halo: CE is third best (in terms of gameplay only[Best being Reach, then 3])

2) I went to multiplayer right away and liked it. But that's just me.

3) Don't be hating on CoD, that's all I have to say about that.

4) UNSC, not USMC. The United States Marine Corps is not the military in space, it's the United Nations Space Corps.

5) BLARGH SPOILARS...kind of. I mean, you know what's going to happen from the beginning.

6) Multiplayer is multiplayer, but more fun than Halo 3 multiplayer. Kind of like a combination of Halo 3 and Halo PC.

Yes this is my review, IE: my point of view... what did ya not understand there friend? This reflects how i felt about the game nothing else, my view is in comparason to the other halo games as well.

I think this is a kind of bias review.. no game has a 10/10 story, and from what I hear is pretty terrible, 9/10 is like half life 2. Also 9/10 on length? My friend beat in 7 hours, I don't think that deserves a 9/10 when we have games that give you 60+ hours.

like i said they could have made more than that. and really microsoft=xbox!?!? I had no idea!

Well, you don't see Sony making Wii games...but a PC version of Halo: Reach would have been nice, if that's what you're implying.

I don't think Microsoft wants a PC version. Even if it runs on windows, it's not directly getting them any sales. Halo is a big reason people go and buy a xbox, so they get the hardware profits and game sales.

They only released halo 2 on PC to get people to buy vista, because if I remember it was vista only.

After seen some the maps people have made man I wish I had the ability to make an awesome map.
