Cataclysm or Black ops?

I have been in a big predicament lately.

As a few of you may know, I have never owned a Call of Duty game, and I feel like Black Ops is the perfect time to jump on the wagon. This game also is questionable to me, because as I do enjoy FPS games, the amount of glitches, hacks, and exploits that users made will possibly be a bad first impression.

And then there is World of Warcraft's fourth installment: Cataclysm. I have been following not only this expansion, but the series for about four years now. I want to stay loyal to my friends in the World we all know as the World of Warcraft. The only problem is whether or not I will have time to invest with school standing over me.

Please help me decide which game to get. Even though it is my opinion at the end that counts, I would like to count on my fellow eGO friends to help me decide. I will consider everyone's opinion.

Black Ops will fail, if you haven't seen the game play video, it looks like trash tbh. Go with cataclysm, it will last longer, and definitely be more fun, but get both eventually as is what I will be doing.

Being from wow divison, u can guess my answer... But im in the Cataclysm beta, and im just gonna say the Stuff theyre adding is amazing. They really improved the game imo. Id go with Cata

I would say go with Black Ops, reason being, in my opinion, to play WoW, you need to dedicate a lot of time into it as you said, and its really not play a few minutes and get off, I played it once and if you play, you usually stay on. With Black ops, or any shooter in that matter, you can just pick it up, play a game or 2, get off, and thats it. Or you can stay on depending on the time amount you have.

Also. theres no monthly subscription to Black Ops. Im a FPS Fan so that's mainly why I would say that but in the end, its what you want to get

WoW is a giant worthless time sink and Call of Duty Black Ops is just another first person shooter that does nothing new. Either way you're just throwing money at Activision.

Save your money for the possibility that a game worth buying might come out this year.

I see you predicament....

I would honestly say WoW in my opinion. Only because my computer can't run CoD games (except for the one's before CoD4) and I'm more of an MMORPG fan then of FPS. Too many people use hacks, cheats, scritps, w/e on FPS online servers, whereas WoW has hardly any (so long as you don't get your account hacked).

But yeah, that's my preference. But I think you should go with your gut instinct, and by which game you see yourself playing more often. Or, you could just buy both and be done with it! :3

If he is getting Cataclysm, that means he already has World of Warcraft, WoW:Burning Crusade, and WoW: Wrath of the Litch King.

In WoW, he gets to fight along side his eGO brothers to take down the great dragon Deathwing. In CoD:BO , he gets to battle 12 year old punks.

Neither, get either Civilization 5 or Dead Rising 2. Yes, Dead Rising 2 is on PC.

Call of Duty is a dead horse, don't beat it. WoW is something you spend a large amount of time on. Civ 5 is set up to be the best RTS of the year, and Dead Rising 2 has countless hours of replayability and has multiplayer now.

I agree with panzer. Dont buy world of why the heck am i playing this crap or call of duty black ops. Just get battlefield bad company 2 and the exspansion pack and fight along your eGO brothers as explosions go off in the background and bullets wiz past your head and you make the seemingly impossible shot that wins the battle. :cool_old::cool_old::cool_old:

Well, since you already know how the general game-play of WoW is, you should wait 'till Black Ops comes out, try it at a friend's house or something, then decide.

The CoD franchise has been staggering recently in actual quality of the games (I can't stand activision either), but I have a burning bias against WoW, so I'd go ahead and get The call of duty game if I had no other choices.
