Any Guitar Players?

Oh yeah man! Been playin for I dont know how many years now...8 maybe? I use a transparent burgundy red Jay Turser: SG. I HIGLY reccommend Jay Tursers, they play with a great sound and they're VERY cheap compared to others like Gibson.

psh! drums are where its at.....even tho i dont have any at the moment.....

i play a little im pretty bad though altough i do own at guitar hero :P

ahh i just started a year ago. im still using a Squier Bullet =( It's alright except it doesn't have a tremolo and the pickups are crappy. I like Les Pauls and SGs, im basically a Gibson person.

im trying to get my pinch harmonics down. you know, like zakk wylde. But the pickups on the Squier don't very good harmonic response. any tips?

I play guitar a little, but I'm a bass player.

Same here, the only song on guitar I can play is the Closer to the Heart opening.

I play not only guitar, bass, drums, and i am the sh** at piano. But all of those are old school. The new age instrument is guitar hero :) GH3 FTW. Best song is "My Name Is Jonas". i got perfect score on expert on it. oh yea

I bought a really nice Acoustic/Electric fender, but that was before I had to leave my school on medical purposes.

So I can't play it yet but I'm trying to find someone who will be able to teach me at least a little :(

ahh that sucks man but still you're lucky to have a nice acoustic/electric. I need to upgrade from what I have right now.

If you're looking for lessons, music stores such as guitarcenter offer them. and some teachers now do it over a webcam i believe. But stick to it and practice =)

Stratocaster! Yeah i play in a little garage band hehe, Tom Sawyer is our favorite song to do...

Stratocasters are awesome! but I prefer Les Pauls for their heavier fatter tone.
and SGs just because they are cool :D

I can make a Strat work with darn near anything, but I like my Epi Goth Exp more.

I like fat bass, so both my basses are p-bass/jazz bass mixed pickups and my cab is a 15". Lots of bass goodness.

yeah I love the fact that the strat is so versatile. I like playing red hot Chilli Pepper songs on it. But still Gibson - Epiphone - and Kramer FTW. Im working on Master Of Puppets and Crazy Train ( zakk Wylde Style) right now. When i first started and i only did down stroke picking master of puppets was a little easier. But now since I learned alternate picking and I got so used to it some riffs in Master of Puppets are more frustrating for me now. Oh and Master of Puppets... since you're a bass player. have you ever tried Gallien Kreuger amps?

Pinball wizard is just insane, I've only done it once and its like expert on drums on rockband...

but yeah, strats and les pauls are very nice. My dad used to have a les paul but he sold it :-\ my strat is camo though, desert camo! in honor of the military.

That is what I use and that is what I love. My head is a 700RBII and my cab is a 115RBH. For what I play, which is hard rock/metal, GK is the way to go.

And about playing mop - When I play guitar, I only down stroke. I really only down stroke period. I modeled the way I play after Hetfield and his sound is made from the crunch of down stroking. But playing it on bass - I play with fingers, the same way Cliff recorded it.

I'm a bassplayer too, played it for i guess a solid 4 years now.

I mostly play Iron Maiden and other metal songs, i just love the triplets that Steve Harris uses, hard to play, but when mastered it makes your groove better, lol.

yessss gallien krueger rocks. Too bad they only make bass amps. correct me if im wrong though.. Ive just never seen GK produce a guitar amp. speaking of amps i was either thinking about getting a Marshall Combo amp or look around for like a nice cheap Laney.

oh guys.. im having problems deciding what guitar i should save for. I asked my "guitar guru" friend and he says they are both badass and I should just decide but i really cant. If you guys get the chance take a look at them and tell me which one is more badass =D. Thanks. I dont really care about the Pickups because who uses stock pickups anyways? haha
