In game screen recorder?

I'm new to screen recorders and i would like to know if anyone knows a good, free version thats out. is fraps trustworthy, because i don't want to download anything with viruses. I'm using windows vista and if possible please leave a link.

Quicktime Player 10 has a built in screen recorder. Well with a Mac anyway. Im not sure if its included in the PC version but you could try using that!

From what I understand, FRAPS is just the standard. I personally just use the Source's in-game recording.

Source recorder if you want lossless video. (I personally have issues with it, though. :/)

i use xfire recording, u can film, capture sound and stuff, u wont have all big letters on your screen of saying fraps if u use the free version. U can edit with windows movie maker. It's pretty easy, if u choose not to edit, u can direct upload it to xfire.
