For christmas my bro got a 360. Its pretty awsome.
Today I started experimenting with the media streaming thing because the 360 is setup in out front room with the big TV and i have 50GB+ of music and many many films and tv shows.
Anyways im running Vista Ultimate 64 so have been using the media centre on there. So far all ive been able to get going is photo and music sharing.
IT seems that i cant get the sharing to pick up all the video folders and when i can get it to pick up some it tells me that they are all in the wrong format and cant play?
Now before you all go saying make sure they are in the right format let me say that ive actually tried to research this can have jsut came away more confused. I know there was a dashboard update late last year to bring DivX / Xvid support to the 360 and all my videos are in those formats.
Keeping this in mind i had a look at other sites showcasing converters and alternative ways of streaming other than WMC such as using windows media player 11 or zune player. I tried WMP 11 and got nowhere so i thought i may be a good idea to turn to some of the most tech savvy gammers that i know
Basically i just want to know if any of you guys have managed to setup Videao streaming with 360 and if so how do you do it and what prograns have u used etc?
