rates?

how do i change my rates in cs they are at 20 30 3500.
some guys said that 30000 is good how and what do i type in the console to change them?

It might be cl_rate 30000

there is only one rates setting / number so i still have no idea what you are talking about.

Edit: Your confeusing me - are you talking about the net_graph 3 numbers? Up down and choke stuff? Because there is a setting called "rate" which can be changed with the rate command. There is also a another setting luke cl_uprate or somehting and down but i cant remembr i always look them up.

rate 300000

Some servers (Like your dod servers) set some of the rates (or limit what you can set)....

things that you can play with (just 3 without getting too far into it)

rate 300000
cl_updaterate (anywhere from 1-101) - mine is set at 80 - you can use this to try to limit choke
cl_cmdrate (again anywhere from 1-101) - this MAY attribute to loss (worst thing you can have) - mine is set also to 80.

There are quite a few "tutorials" out there that will explain it MUCH better than I can
