got a cool story for you guys

today at 9am me, my dad, a friend, and his dad all went for a walk through the desert

as we were walking back to the car me and my friend were walking a few steps behind his dad

as we pass a bush we hear ShkShkShkShkShkShkShkShk!!!

me and him both spot a rattlesnake on the ground about 2 and 1/2 feet from his dad

we both start screaming for him to stop theres a snake

he backs off

grabs a 2x2 laying nearby on the ground

and cracks the thing in the side of the head, breaking its neck

then he held the head down with the piece of wood

pulled/twisted with another stick, and ripped its head off

we brought it home

i went on the internet

found out how to skin/cure it

and now ive begun the process of curing its skin

i slit it all the way down its stomache and peeled the skin from its muscles/bones/organs

and now its pinned to a board outside soaking in a mixure of mineral oil and denatured alcohol for a week




before you ask the question, its a mojave green

well considering that i couldve walked back to the house within an hour to get a drink, and that we had a cooler of cokes, water and gatorade in the car; i dont think that storing pee for later drinking was high on my list of stuff to do with a snake skin
