Why do we keep getting threads about weapon preferences?

I was reading the latest thread about weapon preferences, and I started wondering..."Why do we get some many of these" (A post in the thread may have started my wondering )

There are these discussions because instead of discussing tactics, which we have to think about, we prefer straitforward to the point stuff. I forgot my point.

CSS topics and posts like this will keep going on forever. People want to see other peoples opinions so they can find out which guns are the best. New recruits into CSS will post them on in the future. anyway i think they are great topics to choose to post on our CSS forums because they keep the forums alive and popin. i love posting my opinions on CSS guns and i love proving my point to those specific guns when i own people

ok lets see, AK, M4, AWP (which is restricted on our servers), deagle, and scout. If you don't know how to use them by now, uninstall.

I should make a new thread titled : "Whats your favorite weapon?" here are the choices for each catagory

Rifle: Famas, Galil, Aug, Krieg 552 (No awps/autos)
Submachine guns: TMP, Mac10, MP5, UMP45, P90
Shotguns: M3, xm1014
Pistols: USP, Glock, P228 compact, fiveseven, dual elites

I wonder what would people choose in each catagory, since none of the weapons used the majority of the time are in each. That would be a good poll in my opinion
