Went with the Gigabyte GTX 460

I think they are talking about feeding their graphics card more power to get more kick outta them so to speak.. I could be wrong .. wouldn't be the first time :(

I highly recommend you do not attempt this unless you know what your doing, the cost would be a deep fried graphics card. :confused1:

Actually if you don't know what your doing just ... just leave all your cmos settings alone .. they don't take kindly to visitors :lol:
 
Doesn't matter If I fry my card while overclocking, however unlikely that may be. The EVGA warranty will still repair it :thumbup1:.

-edit: Hey maybe you could run the heaven 2.1 benchmark on one of your 470's (preferably stock) and post the results? I am dying to see If my OC is to 470 levels yet!
 
That's what its there for ( the warranty ) . I still have yet to run all the proper benches.
 
I'm pushing this thing hard to see if it will put up with the stress before my return period is over, otherwise anything after that i'll have to deal with RMA. Have done Gigabyte RMA before for a mobo and had it back in less than 2 weeks i believe. Either way there is always a spare GPU to cover if anything happens.

Did a few benches using the Mafia 2 demo ... Now i gotta pop this 8800 back in and dedicate to PhysX and see the magic happen. Will post all results when all tests are done. Also did some Heaven and Stonegiant ... just playing around with it, still have lots of playing to do.
