Changes to the Event Schedule, Based on your feedback

[iamevilbear]

Hey guys/gals,

Based on the polling it is very clear that you want two things:

1. New replacement events
2. More competitive style events

With that being said we (the CS:S Event Coordination team) have scheduled the following new events:

Friday, October 8th -- Road Trip to TF2 servers
Saturday, October 9th -- Soccer Night (Yes! Soccer)
Friday, October 22nd -- Road Trip to DOD:S servers

As for competitive events, we are still looking to place something on Sundays that will help fill that want/need. Stay tuned for more information on that as we work on it.

Once we get everything finalized we will start adding new maps again. I am currently working on a variation of last man standing that will take more of a team approach. Hopefully an event of this style will be added as well. That's it for now. Please continue to PM your suggestions to me. It may take some time for me to respond, but I promise I am reading them.

I'll be trying to make the DoD road trip!

Maybe we can borrow their event server for a while for only CS:S folk?

We can go to any DOD:S or TF2 server you want. It's very open ended. Not just limited to eGO servers. I imagine that once people try DOD/TF2 they will be encouraged to play on eGO servers anyways as they are already a part of this clan.

In the end I hope that people will crossover to other divisions and meet new people, and maybe those people will in turn come check out our CS:S servers.

I agree.

I was thinking maybe have a "scrim" of CS:S players on the DoD/TF2 event servers so that our skill levels are similar.

It could be in addition to the road trip event, not as a replacement.

Just because, many of the DoD servers (I don't have TF2, so I can't speak for that) are filled up most evenings so having a large number of us in one server is hard to co-ordinate.

I say we have a scrim between DoD:S and CS:S on TF2 servers. That would be amazing.
