Anyone a big fan of warpath?

I've always been a huge fan of warpath in all its versions. Its just a great map, love how the combat is kind of bottle-necked with the different tunnels.


Anyone else love this map? If so tell us why!:thumbup:


Oh and I'm chemikalz, Im new to eG0 and I am with the tf2 division.

Yes, there's even a "Warpath 4 Evah!" group on the forums. We used to have a server with it on, but it was never busy enough...maybe for an event some time. *crosses fingers*

I would most defiantly be down for an event on warpath of some sort, lets do this!! How about tonight :chair:

I didn't know most people didn't like it, there is a 24/7 server I play in sometimes that always seems to be full. What are some of the things about it that cause people not to like it do you think?

same. We lost a lot of regulars when that map went away.

For whatever reason, whenever we try to bring Warpath back, there just isn't enough of a population on it to keep it going.

I first started playing with eGO on the 24/7 Warpath server back when it was in full steam, but unfortunately it just didn't last. I was more than excited when we got a new 24/7 Warpath server later, but then it was always empty.

It's unfortunate, but I doubt Warpath will be returning any time soon, with the exception of events.

Secondly yes, we used to have a server multiple times, many people loved it but we just didnt have enough to keep it going to so it had to go. The leaders brought it back several times but it just never worked out.

I personally dislike it because of the lack of cover and all the loads of choke points which lead to mass spam. I do host it occasionally at events though

I actually love this map, i usually like maps with high tech themes in them, but this one I liked even if its a stupid old canyon, I loved this a lot cause of that little building where you could destroy its walls...

Fun fact of the day, This is the only other map where the rare canadian buga can be found, outside of her natural blackmesa habitat.

It was doing great, but it was replaced by a pipeline server when that map came out, effectively destroying the community built around warpath. Too late to bring it back outside of events. Big mistake.

And this is where I mention that crazy idea of a "Forbidden Zone" server with Warpath, Cashworks, and Convoy - it covers all of the main gamemodes and all the maps have a following, but I imagine some wouldn't like the variety.

As much as I love Warpath, I say LIES!!! Convoy was the first eGO server I played on.
