Today I was sitting in my advanced engineering class and my buddy asked another one of my friends who he liked. He wouldnt say it because he was ashamed....I dont know if its cause I just started dating again and my girlfriend and I have only been dating for 2 days so far, but I have never been happier. I just think this is so disrespectful. Like I see this too much. I want a female member of eGO to post her and give me her mind on this....it ticked me off. I dont know why you wouldnt be happy and proud to like who you like guys.

I don't quite get it.
a) The subjects shouldn't be related
b) Why would he be ashamed? Not really enough background info to draw conclusions
c) Did that class teach you how to properly wrangle a sentry?

There are many possible reasons:

1) Your friend is not ashamed, but shy.
2) Young people have a nasty reputation of being immature.
3) Your friend may simply be afraid of his "progress" taken out of his own hands (e.g. the person he likes finds out by rumour).
4) He's simply not ready to say.
5) He's concerned that the girl doesn't like him.

Don't hate on your friend for not saying. Everybody has the right to privacy.

I tell people freely who Im dating but like I truely hate when they ask for a picture. I dont like to show off my girlfriend like she is some prize thats just disrespectful.

In my mind... If its any of your business then you'd already know. And to be honest, from what Ive seen in Junior High and Highschool, it sickens me how many girls get played and what alot of peoples definition of 'Love' is.

I right now am in a relationship where the girl really was so overwhelmed by that I liked her because I held off a long time to ask her out because I didnt know who she liked. Made my day the other day on tuesday when I asked her out. I dont think I have ever been in love its just I think Im here to stay in the relationship that Im in now.

No offense JoyRider, but you have alot to learn about relationships and girls. Showing off your girlfriend is not disrespectful. Alot of girls actually like it when you brag that you have them, it shows them that you truly do love and care for them. I know my ex (4 days ago would have been our 2 year anniversary) absolutely loved when I told her how I bragged about her. She always had the biggest smile on her face upon me saying that. And telling people who your dating and who you like/want to date is two different things. Teens these days are notorious for running their mouth and telling everyone they know. And I think everyone here knows what happens when word gets out about that kind of stuff.

honestly

mappy is right

you shouldnt need to ask

if he feels comfortable with it, hell tell ya
