i have COD4 for PS3, I would always find myself leading the team no matter who's in it. Our team was playing domination for first two rounds which we lost against an organized clan. I finally decided to take charge and develop strategies. At the end, we ended up winning the round. The clan in my team was wondering who the hell was talking and as if i was a captain taking charge. They thought it was annoying yet we won.. it's like they never heard of leading even though they're in their own little clan. It showed me how eGO has effected my way of thinking and leading without even giving it a second thought. Sometimes i think if i didn't say anything would we end up winning at all against a highly organized cod4 clan. I took their strategy and used it against them and it worked.

Most people who play COD4 on ps3 don't have a mic, I feel that if someone leads, at least 1 would follow as if they don't have any agenda except to kill. I don't know where I'm going with this but why are some people get so antsy about a guy taking charge when no one wouldn't?

I know what you mean, Lamesauce. I don't really into becoming a leader, instead, I rather consider myself as a motivator in game. To show them some way for them to get moving.
A leader, IMO, is more like a guideline for others. They don't have to follow everything the leader told them to, but take initiative from their order.

Well, that's just my opinion.

LOL
that happen to me last night
i was running out and i turned the corner
and i saw my whole team following me
i was like wtf...

lmao, shoot sorry, i feel like an idiot :D

I don't think leadership is as important as team work and co-operation. I find when the team I'm in is mostly concerned with their k:d ratios or just plain killing others, we lose. However, if the team has a common goal, say capping tank for a short-term goal, then it works out that much better. Like you said people just get irritated when others try to take charge so I just rush and fight and hope the others follow and help. =)
