I'm like most of the people here, I don't like it. Why can't Valve be more focused on gameplay than hats and stuff, maybe a few more maps? They already make millions of dollars of their games, why try to get more of the players. A game should be either a FPS or a RPG, not both.

Game was good back in early 2009, now it really sucks. Update sucks.
 
Scared to play it. Expecting a bunch of over powered new weapons that screw up game play. I NEED to play it for awhile before I can really give a statement.

So at this point in time, I have no comment. Unless you count what I just said a comment then I have a comment, but also have no comment after the first comment I made.

Anyway, The update is... mixed in my opinion, I enjoy the trading system when it's not being extremely annoying while at the same exact time they have way too many over-powered weapons. Not to mention $18 for a hat..? I never had a had besides that Alien swarm thing to begin with and now I have to pay for one? Ugh... Why Valve?

Overall: Pro's: Trading system (kinda) Cons: Turned into an RPG type of game-play and is now trying to take our cash, and Addition of way too many overpowered weapons.
 
Trading is nice but the store gives people who pay more money an advantage which is dumb because the people with more $$ will be better than the people with no $$ but more skill.

There are no item you can buy that you cant earn, early on people who buy will probably be at an avantage, but later on it will be even, all it does is allow people to buy the weapons instead of wait for them to randomly drop. And if you have skill, it doesnt matter what your enemy is using.
 
its ok, its good that u can have those items as random drops too so i guess its ok
 
I really like the new update! Really cool! People just don't seem to like updates with TF2! :)
 
I just got a computer that can run TF2 about 3 weeks ago. Started playing TF2 2 weeks ago. I became addicted to pwning ppl as either Engineer or Sniper.

But now, I can't stand playing TF2 anymore. Having to spend money on a game that I already bought? I mean, WoW is almost pushing it with its subscriptions, but this is taking it too far.

If this kind of stuff continues, I can smell a day in the future where we all have to pay about 40 bucks to put a hat on our character in games.
 
Take it or leave it.

I'm glad new items are out now, but buying these items sort of takes the fun out of finding a randomly dropped item. Getting that dropped item, even if I didn't want or need it, was like finding money in your pocket that you didn't know was there before.

I remember that game too. I found it pretty boring. It's amazing how hats can spice up any situation. Long shift at work? Try wearing a different hat. Low pay got you down? Paint one of your old hats a new color. Dinner at your girlfriend's parents? Offer to trade hats with her dad. Stuck in traffic? Dig under the seat and craft that stuff into a hat. Stuck in a class you hate with a boring teacher? Stop paying attention and spend that time idling for hats. Yes hats. Wonderful, magical hats. Is there nothing they can't do?
