As some of you guys knew we had a twenty four seven Italy server. I loved the server so much and so did my friends. Is it posible for us to ever get it back? I'm posting this here before the drop box because I want to know what you guys thought about getting it back. If we could would you want to get Italy back?

Its not going to happen.

It's been tried multiple times, sure there were regulars, but not enough to keep it running.

Apparently Dust 1 has the pub base necessary >.> Pssh.

If you search for "Bring back Italy" threads then you will find quite a bit, Leadership posts useful stuff in those threads and is the reason they ask you to use the dropbox as it prevents spam in Discussion and they can give you a direct to the point answer

That's why everyone says use dropbox.

I don't mind really, but I don't think enough people enjoyed it that much to keep it going.

Definantly not. Why would we bring back a map that had 0 success multiple times when we already have a Dust1 map that has pubs on it most of the time.

I say stick with Dust1.

Never really spent time on Italy before, but sounds like it could be interesting. But it's such a small map it could get boring easily. =\

The problem with stock map servers is just that, they're stock maps.

There are so many out there, there is not much incentive for people to stick to the eGO one and become regulars.

Jail and Highschool are relatively more successful because they're somewhat unique maps and have a bunch of regulars. Dust2 is full just because it's such a popular stock map.

I just had fun playing on italy thats why i created the post. i think a GG server or a surf server would be amazing!

Italy was the reason I joined. The only time I ever saw it empty was during very early mornings and some early afternoons, but other than that it was full of pubs and e's (including me), most of them were great people to talk to and have fun with. And when I got my eG a week later, I was always the only admin when I was on it, unless I needed an O to ban someone. Then, Acid Rage and AndrewC got promoted and they helped me a lot.

Bottom line, I do miss it but I don't believe it will ever be as good as it was back then.

I really enjoy Italy and would like to see an Italy EGO server. I do enjoy the maps EGO has now but after a few hours on the same map.......it gets kinda old. Will it break my heart if it never changes, no. I just like the variety.

I do believe this is a thread about Italy, not deathmatch or gun game. I left this thread open so you could discuss your likes about Italy, not what servers we should get in the future.
