Is this an accepted practice ? Just wondering as i've seen it happening lately.

For instance , adding extensions @ the end of the tags.

Nomad.

As members we are allowed to add tags at the END of our name, I for example have {GG} and {TJ} at the end of mine , however, the =(eGO)=™ must be at the front of your name.

To change your name completely, it has to be the same as your forum name in game, there is a button somewhere to request a name change.

Members who change their rank in-game is usually due to a field promotion which doesnt happen too often. Guess youre just a witness of rare occurences :)

In days of yore the rule read"

"9. Use Only One Name While Gaming Here"

Perusing the recruitment forum you can read"

"Make sure your in-game name and forum name are the same.
Capitalization doesn't matter. "

Now since, as a member of EdgeGamers, you are not to change your forum name without approval. It stands to reason that you shouldn't be changing your in game name either.

It may be possible of course that you have stumbled upon an admin impostor. If you are an admin go to console and enter "sm_who" without the quotes. If you are not an admin in admin chat (text message that admins can read start your message with U@) Ask for some one to check into it for you.

Your name should have value. If your word is good it means something. Honor it don't change it.

There have been a few hackers. And Impostures on our servers lately. Dont know who they are or why they are doing it. On occasion they shut down our servers through an exploit through steam. They do this by lag crashing the servers by sending multiple false packets at a time, hence overload and system reboot for the servers. As for impostures there are the few who are dumb enough to try. Like stated above use SM_who to see the truth. Before kick/ ban get their IP and steam account info.

Anything to do with crashing the server is an automatic ban, if I remember correctly.
