"steam unable to connect to network"

i was wondering if anyone has the same problem. every time i try and run steam its says "Unable to connect to network. This could be due to a problem with your internet connection, or with the steam network. Please visit www.steampowered.com for more info". i was wondering if anyone else has the same problem

my connections find, im able to play other internet games, but it wont let me load

people have been saying its due to the new L4D update but idk

probably just steams network. Try again later and see if it works and if it doesnt you can try deleting your ClientRegistry.blob and restarting (seems to fix a lot of the problems xD)

If you own LD2 or LD1 give it a chance it wants to update a lot.

hmm.. i dont own either but i was able to get back on.. i think it was just steam being wierd thanks again.

Steam updated. Too many people trying to get the update at the same time.
