Steam error

I keep getting this error when i try to boot up counter strike! The steam servers are currently too busy to handle you're request. Please try again in a few minutes! how do i solve it?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a message you receive when too many users are trying to connect to Steam at once. The past two days, Steam has been flooded with users when they released the new campaign for L4D and L4D2, resulting in No Connection issues for many users. Several people have posted similar messages/issues already in the forums that coincides with Valve's releasal.
