Does anyone know how to get ellis's hat

[Stepz]

I really want it.

If you have ordered Left4Dead2, you should be getting it soon. Not sure when, but you will eventually get it.

[Mr.SaJoRa]

if you already own l4d2 you will get it too. just dont know when. i read somewhere youd find it within a few days but i didnt find it up to now =/

[Baen]

Already got mine, and I haven't played L4D2 in about a month

I bought l4d2 when it was 6$ and had to wait 2 full days before i got the hat and the frying pan. Pretty sure it was a limited time deal only though and that you cant get it anymore...

[Liliana]

No, you can still get it, I think...unless you bought L4D2 after last Thursday. Then you can't get it.

[Simon]

i got mine 0.o

[Noise]

as long as you either bought l4d2 during that promo, or before. You will get the hat and the pan... Sooner or later, I started up tf2 the day it was announced and I got them.

Can't say 100% if this is correct, but...

Last night I looked at my backpack via the Backpack examiner, and at the bottom, it had some items listed and said, "The following items were overlapping other items or in invalid backpack positions."

I keep my pack arranged (but not auto-arranged) so...maybe when you keep your backpack out of 'official' order, new items get assigned to your backpack, but not 'visible' to you in-game?

Anyways, when I saw the backpack examiner saying I had Ellis's hat and frying pan, I opened TF2, auto-arranged my backpack, and viola! they appeared.

Could just be a coincidence, I dunno, but it worked for me.

I re-situated my backpack last night, and when I checked it this morning, I have another item not showing up?: http://www.tf2items.com/id/lovetape

[GreatNate]

I got mine last night! Suckers!

[Smokeybear18]

I haven't gotten them yet either. =(

[Planeswalker]

I got mine when I opened up the storefront. They weren't in-game drops, they showed up just out of the blue when I clicked the "Shop for Items' on the title screen.

checking the steam forums it looks like a lot more people have this problem. Probably going to get fixed in an update at some point I believe.
