Yeah, but seemingly with each Steam update, something almost always goes terribly wrong for half the steam users, then it takes valve forever to fix the problem.
Such classic examples:
Steam refusing to work if X-fire is on the computer
Third party mods being shut down
Various gmod 9 problems including all constraits to be a rope, face poser failing, colour mods, HDR lighting and such turning into a diagonal line across the screen etc. etc.
Friends causing crashes
Steam verification servers failing, occasionally making it so you can't play your game because it can't prove that you own it.
So on and so forth
